Old Lyme Remodel Finish

We’ve finally come to the end of another fabulous project. There is still landscaping on the horizon, but in the meantime, it’s our pleasure to share with you some finish photos of our Old Lyme renovation project.  We’ve come a long way in a short amount of time. In fact, we were able to take this project from start to finish in 7 months… and that’s move-in ready. It’s not ABC’s Extreme Makeover “fast” but for the scope of work and it being a “design / build” project, 7 months is good time.

In my previous entry, I mentioned many of the interior finishes and included photos of built-ins.  Therefore there’s only a few items left to describe.

Believe it or not, the kitchen in this house is from Ikea, highlighted with quartz countertops and a dark walnut butcher block island.  All the cabinets received under cabinet lighting and decorative down lighting for glass cabinets.  The Ikea cabinets are truly great.  The frames are nothing to boast about, but the doors, hardware, drawer slides, finish, functionality, and price point are up there with the best. Obviously, your options are limited, especially in the deeply decorative details… but if “simple” is your style… this is a good example. An adjacent laundry room was finished with the same cabinetry for good measure.  All together… this kitchen arrived in 273 boxes and needed assembly, but it was worth it.

Take a look at some of the photos here and some different ones in the portfolio section of the website.
