We recently completed this interior renovation project of taking the front entry / foyer of a home and adding our own custom bead board style paneling.
We used 5/8″ birch plywood to make a width we felt was proportionate to the room we were working in. The paneling was then complimented by a glass bead trim in between. Existing sheet rocked openings and archways were cased with pine casing we made specifically for each opening.
Molding details, such as the pediment at the front door, crown molding around the top of the paneling, top cap, and miscellaneous other details were designed on site and proved to come out beautifully.
This was definitely a project that gave a very rewarding feeling once complete.
