Third generation on the Connecticut shoreline. Carpentry is self-performed, framing to finish, and the millwork is made in our own shop. The oldest building we have worked on was framed in 1746; the most recent was finished this year.

Antique frames, historic rehabilitation, and buildings given a second use.
Commercial and institutional
A savings bank turned into a restaurant, an assembly hall for a school founded in 1891.
Millwork from our own shop
Paneling, casework, stair parts and sash, made for the job and fitted by the crew that built it.
Self-performed carpentry
Framing to finish in house, so the detail on the drawing is the detail on the wall.
High-performance building
Including a certified house at HERS 39, tested at 0.62 air changes per hour.

Post-and-beam antique restored, and a new carriage house built to read as though it had always been there.

A 1746 gambrel taken back to its frame, with one wing rebuilt from the foundation up.

A new house detailed so nothing reads as new, and an 1880s barn dismantled in another town and re-erected here.
